OHSIG Conference - 2011

As the Chairperson of OHSIG and Conference chair I wish to personally thank all of those people who gave of their time and resources to make the 2011 2nd triennial OHSIG conference such a success – and a success it was.

 

I especially thank all of the speakers who submitted papers and had them approved as conference papers, well done; the work that you have done and been willing to share with your counterparts is outstanding. I hope each of you have found the challenge of presenting to be rewarding.

 

I also wish to thank all of our sponsors and exhibitors, without whom the conference simply could not proceed. The OHSIG conference committee considers it a priority that you get a good deal and return on your investment i.e. More people, more exposure and more benefit.

 

Behind the scenes we had sub committees each working on a piece of the conference puzzle. I wish to thank them for their contribution to the conference, well done. This work is unseen and in the background but vital none the less. There are many people in this group but to name a few, Janice Riegen, Wendy Spence, Mike Ward, and Kirsty Powell - well done. Those not mentioned- my apologies.

 

Special thanks must go to Linda McKay (No 9 Productions) and Robyn Vallom (NZOHNA) for their never ending commitment to OHSIG and the conference, quite simply - without them there would be no conference at all.

 

OHSIG was created to act as a forum for the OH&S industry and to become an industry voice of OH&S, I feel that we have achieved this. The level of collaboration, networking and taking away of new ideas and concepts is what this conference is all about. Again, thank you one and all.
